Destination guide

Working in Croatia

Croatia hires heavily in construction and in tourism during the season, plus growing demand in logistics and shipyards.

Sectors that recruit most

Hiring follows the building and tourist seasons.

  • Construction and shipyards
  • Hotels, restaurants and resorts during the season
  • Warehousing and delivery
  • Agriculture and food processing

Seasonal contracts

Seasonal offers usually have a fixed end date. Check the start and end dates, whether accommodation and meals are included, and what happens if the season is extended.

Documents employers usually request

Confirm the current requirements with the employer and the official authorities before paying any third party.

  • A valid passport with enough remaining validity
  • A signed job offer or employment contract from the employer
  • Proof of qualifications or work experience for the role
  • Accommodation details, when the employer provides housing
  • Any health or criminal-record certificate the employer asks for
